Standards

The full set of FEA standards, available in three languages, provides technical standards developed by and within the European aerosol industry. It includes test methods, dimensional and performance standards.

The paramount objectives are transparency and an open and non-discriminatory participation in the procedure.
As part of the approval process, FEA circulates draft standards to all FEA National Associations (ordinary members) during a 5-week consultation period after development.


The most important industry standards were converted into EN standards or included in the EU legislation

EU Legislation:

– FEA 608: this standard is replaced by point 6.3.3. of the annex to the Aerosol Dispensers Directive 75/324/EEC
– FEA 609: this standard is replaced by point 6.3.1 of the annex to the Aerosol Dispensers Directive 75/324/EEC
