FEA 225 – Aluminium aerosol containers – Dimensions of rimmed aluminium aerosol containers

Aerosol fillers look at the possibility to adapt spraycaps and actuators initially designed for three-piece tinplate aerosol containers onto one-piece aluminium aerosol containers. This will allow the use of the same cap on both tinplate and aluminium aerosol containers.

The dimensions given in this standard while not binding in any respect represent good practice for aluminium aerosol can manufacturers as agreed within Europe, between suppliers and fillers. The specific dimensions given in this standard look at minimising problems, but do not guarantee that caps designed for three-piece tinplate containers will perfectly fit onto aluminium aerosol containers with rimmed flat shoulder.
